yeah, the hows arent as important as why he did it in the first place
the fact that he didnt react to finding out what she was does make it sound like he was trying to get in with us but obviously it hasnt really gone anywhere

even if he hadnt been mentioned in the book hed be worth looking into, what a weird dude
at least by the standards of the humans here
